Designed for running Going Rogue w/ Perm Death.
Starting out is the hardest part to get the ball rolling, on floor one get your pet Wyrm first and make him do all the work, and get the first point of Archaeology before you go to floor 2, to convert those junk artifacts and level faster. Next up you'll want to get Obvious Fireball and max Arch. After that max Blood Magic and get Euclid's Translation.
Ley Walker is the flex point, it's mostly there for the higher mana regen requirement in Going Rogue. If you're on Dwarven it can be replaced with whatever you want.
Stat wise you obviously want capped mana return for 1 mana a turn, then tower magic as best you can, while aiming for Conflag/Hyperborean resists. Molten Orbs and Ring of Ash are good if you can get them early enough to pimp them out over thier superior quality versions.
