There are three difficulty settings for Dungeons of Dredmor. There is an additional difficulty option of Permadeath.

- Monster HP global scaler 1.25
- Additional monster HP percent per level 0.1
- Additional monster HP per level 3
- Monster level -1
- Store Purchase prices 163% of value
- Store Sell prices 63% of value
- HP regeneration turns 5
- SP regeneration turns 5
- Monster Spawn turns 240
- Vending Machine prices 171% of value
- Monster gold drop multiplier 6
- Minimum food per level 40
- Traps per level 40
- Named monsters have +1 damage per level, +2 total primary stat points, +2 total secondary stat points
- Chance of a named monster slightly lower

[edit] Permadeath
The permadeath option is enabled by default on all new games. When permadeath is enabled the player will be unable to reload the save once the character has died. Permadeath disables the Save and Continue option in the game menu.
